FITS THE FOLLOWING: All Mercedes diesels 1977 to 1993. This includes 116, 123, 126, 201, 124 chassis. This kit will provide you will all the necessary alcohol resistant fuel hose and new clamps to to successfully convert your fuel system to run biodiesel.
The original fuel hoses on 70s, 80s and early 90s Mercedes Diesels are not alcohol resistant. These original hoses will work with biodiesel for one to two years before they swell, collapse and/or deteriorate. The hoses that will deteriorate very quickly are the small flexible fuel injector return lines. The combination of high heat, return fuel pressure, and the chemical makeup of biodiesel wreck havoc on the original braided rubber injector return hose. That is why we have sourced out a Viton fuel hose specifically made for the Mercedes injectors. But it is not necessary that all fuel hoses in the system be made out of 100 percent Viton.
There are other synthetic rubbers being used today in fuel lines that work every bit as good as viton in low heat situations. That is why so many of the newer diesels can run on biodiesel without having to change the fuel hoses.The challenge was to find a hose the correct size with the correct specifications. I prefer to use tough internally braided synthetic hoses over Viton because they can take more abuse under the car. The larger fuel hose we include in this kit has a unique nylon sheath inside that prevents any permeation of fuel into the rubber. It is fire resistant, alcohol resistant, approved by US coast guard, and as tough as nails. This hose is not cheap but it does the job. It works extremely well for diesel, biodiesel, and even heated SVO/WVO.
This kit would not be complete if I did not include quality European hose clamps. (These are the type that don't cut into the hose if you overtighten the clamp). I am also including the hard to find Viton end plug for the rear most injector on your engine. Instructions are included on how to make your own fuel tank outlet hose and fitting with materials supplied in the kit.

50 inches of Viton injector return hose (enough for even 6 cylinder diesel) w/cut instructions
1 viton injector return end plug
15 quality correct size high quality hose clamps
Installation instructions specific for 123 / 126 chassis only - general for other chassis
Replacement of all fuel hoses will require you to drain your fuel tank and remove the tank outlet hose. The kit may have slightly more hose that you will need. Just keep the extra pieces for spares.
