I recently purchased your manual to remove and replace the instrument cluster on my 1977 450 sl. The instructions recommend removing the steering wheel. Can you please give me step by step info on pulling the steering wheel

You will need a 10 mm allen head and breaker bar. Better yet a 1/2 inch air impact wrench.

1. Remove the horn pad by prying it off the steering wheel (in snaps in place)

2. Mark steering wheel location

3. Remove center bolt (only fastener holding steering wheel to column)

4. Lift steering wheel off of column

thanks will giv it a try
