300SD - Probablly silly Foglight question

Submitted by DougTx on 20 June 2008 - 9:20am.
Ok, Sorry for asking but for the life of me I cannot figure this out and am affraid of putting the beams out of alignment. On my SD (84 300SD 126) I have the fog lights that are seprate from the headlight in the enclosure. My driver side foglight does not work. It has no moisture in it and looks fine. Is tha a repalcement bulb that can be repalced or it is the light itself as a unit? Also I see all of the little plastic dial looking screwes, if not them how do I access that little guy to replace him? Many thanks, Doug in Dallas

Hi Doug, Yes, your fog light has a high intensity bulb that is replaceable. To gain access to it you must first remove the clear plastic headlight door (surround). That is done by removing the WHITE round knobs on the back side of the headlight assembly. Pull the headlight door straight out. You will see two phillips screws holding the chrome frame of the fog light in place. Remove those two screws and you can pull out the foglight and replace the bulb from the back side. We carry new bulbs in our bulb replacement kits.
