is vegtherm significantly different than your product for electrically heating oil before ip pump?

Let me count the ways.

  • My boost heater won't burn the skin off your arm. I still have a scar on my forearm from a early confrontation with a vegtherm.
  • Vegtherm only heats a pencil size amount of fuel at a time. My booster heater heats over 1/2 cup of fuel up to 150 degrees in about 60 seconds. This floods the injection pump with hot fuel - more efficient for single tank startups.
  • I have had two vegtherms fail. No way to repair other than buy another unit. My booster heater only requires $10 to $12 to replace the heating element.
  • Vegtherm is not adjustable. My boost heat chamber has a thermostat control to control overheating.
  • My booster heater is made out of heavy cast iron. The vegtherm out of thin alumium. Chamber kepts the oil warm in the chamber longer during stops and starts on short trips.
  • My boost heater has more options on how to adjust inlet and outlet fittngs making it easier to install in different locations. The vegtherm is straight and with no option to modify it.
  • I have done tests on there different Mercedes diesels running on SVO. With no other changes the booster heater gave better power response under load than the Vegtherm

Considering single tank, or single with dual backup. Live in Cleveland Ohio. I'm wondering where the oil goes with this warm flush. Does it just go into the prechamber for combustion, or does it bypass and get purged?

Thanks
