Has anyone swapped out the fuel lines on a 1992 300D 2.5 turbo who has photos of which lines to swap? Or alternately, if anyone has a diagram of the lines overall that would work... I'm getting my "new" '92 ready for B99. I've done the fuel line change-over on two W123 300D-T's prior to this but there are a few extra lines around the lift pump that seem to be part of the fuel system under the hood on the 2.5 turbo. (Also they aren't mentioned in the instructions that come with the biofuel line replacement kit since that focuses on the W123.) It looks like at least two of them connect up to a set of hard lines apparently going around to the engine block and back like some kind of additional recirculation system, I'm not sure what those are... I want to make totally sure I get the correct lines before just pulling off unfamiliar ones that "seem" to be fuel lines, you know?
Of course I already replaced the injector return lines with viton from the kit since that's totally straightforward in theory (nice how you gotta pull off that intake section though, yeeargh) and it's the OTHER fuel lines under the hood that I'm needing to confirm. (Well actually, I haven't gotten to finding the W124 fuel tank lines either, come to think of it... If anyone is well-versed on those on the W124... Hint hint...)
Anyhow, any assistance on this task is most welcome and appreciated! :-D
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
Even a clue as to where to go to find such a diagram or illustration would be a big help... (See original topic posting above for the whole story.) I'm hoping to get under the hood again this weekend, so I figured one last try here...
But, c'mon W124 2.5 turbo diesel owners, can't someone throw me a life line here? SOMEONE out there has to have converted the lines on one of these fine vehicles who can help out with a little info... ;-)
Thanks again for any help, fellow Mercedes and biofuel enthusiasts!
Come on, someone's gotta have a 2.5 turbo out there?
Okay, last try... Someone? Anyone? Biodiesel-compatible fuel line replacement on a W124 2.5 turbo diesel (OM602, see original post)?
I still have not been able to find a good diagram of the lines on my own despite my shelling out for a couple of manuals, so here goes one last shot at the forum for this. I've done three W123 turbo fuel line replacements, but this is my first W124 and I want to make sure I get all the lines since there are a number of additional lines which appear to be part of the system that don't appear on the W123 turbo. (I'm 0 for 2 on my W124 questions on the forum tho... Alas)
Thanks all!
