SV0/WVO parts

We have looked far and wide for the right size SVO WVO (waste vegetable oil)  HD pump pickup filter and have finally found it. Our criteria was it had to be all metal, had to be not too small or too big, had to take fitting for 3/4 inch hose, had to have a bottom surface to mount a stand pipe, and had to be easily cleanable.

This heater is designed to heat the vegetable oil fuel just as it exits the fuel tank rather than inside the tank. This prevents deterioration of the oil from constant heating and cooling and minimizes water condensation inside the SVO tank. This sump chamber is built to use both coolant heat and rapid electric heat. The electric glow plug heater rapidly heats the oil in about two minutes and then shuts off when the engine coolant heat ups and takes over. The sump heater mounts in the spare tire well as shown and easily clears the spare tire.

When I was a kid working on old Ford street rods there was no such thing as nitrile gloves and to wear gloves then was considered sissy. Not so today. I would not even consider working on a car anymore without gloves. In fact my hands feel real naked without them. Experience has shown that one glove will not do the job in all cases. I have four types of gloves in my arsenal. Three of them are of the disposable type and one is a more permanent working glove that I call the super glove.

Fits the following: These nozzles fit ONLY 1986 to 1989 201 Chassis 190D 2.5 Turbo and NON-Turbo. This is the critical inside wear part of the injector that delivers the fuel spray into the cylinder. Replace for better fuel economy, more power, easier starts, and less exhaust smoke.

Replacement plastic bleeder screw and two orings for all FM 100 header filter assemblies. Good idea to have a spare on hand in case you over torque it!

Professionally custom designed and welded aluminum wedge-shape fuel tank that fits in the forward section of the trunk on all 1978 to 1987 300SD and 300SDL and all 1977 to 1985 240D 300D and 300CD. This custom design will allow the maximum fuel while still allowing storage space in the trunk. It will even allow you to easy install and remove the factory spare tire! This all metal cleanable 60 micron filter can be the answer for many Mercedes 220D 240D 300D 300CD 300TD 300SD / SDL and 190D diesel engine applications. If you are tired of always spending money to replace your plastic pre-filters then here is your answer. If you would like an inline filter when doing your diesel purges to prevent crude from re-entering the injection pump this is the ideal solution. If you need a final filter to protect your injection pump when running waste vegetable oil this is it!

Filter should be installed just before the inlet to the injection pump. Hi temp hose included is required if running heated SVO.

This heater can be used with all Mercedes diesels converted to run on straight or waste vegetable oil. This includes the 200D 220D 240D 300D 300CD 300TD 300SD 190D 300SDL 350SD and E300D. This deluxe kit  is part of all our conversion kits but can also be used to build your own conversion or increase the performance of any other existing SVO conversion.

This set of mounting bolts and nuts comes standard in our STC conversion kits. If you are building your own or mounting special components you will love how these bolts and screws work. The special star attached locking washer allows you to spin the nuts on and off quickly while fabricating the location and mounts for your components. They only lock down at final tightening after you have everything set right.

• 8 10/32 machine screws and locking nuts (use 3/16 inch drill bit)

You asked for it so we made it happen. Many of you have been wanting to know what we use for high temp thread sealant (when we dont want to use the permanent epoxy). We don't like thread tape or anything with Teflon in it.

This small tube of sealant by Permatex with meet most your needs of sealing NPT tapered threads on aftermarket pumps, filters, hose fittings, etc. Very effective sealant that will allow you to easily remove the fitting if you need to. 

If you are doing a Dual Tank VO (vegetable oil) fuel conversion you will invariably want to run some type of electrical components separate from your cars electrical system. This twin relay kit will allow you to power two electrical components directly from your cars battery and only come on when you turn on your ignition switch.  You can also control each relay with a switch mounted somewhere inside the car  (not included in this kit.

If you are doing a Dual Tank VO (vegetable oil) fuel conversion you will invariably want to run coolant hoses to the rear of your car. This can help heat the oil coming out of the VO tank and well as keeping it warm as it travels to the engine compartment. 3/8 inch hose is more than adequate for this purpose. In fact 1/2 coolant hose is not desirable because it adds too much coolant volume to the system - thus taking longer to heat it up.

The best coolant hose for this purpose is actually heavy duty fuel hose.  It is much stronger than coolant hose and holds the heat better due to extra internal braiding. Fuel hose lasts longer too when running coolant through it and that is what we include in this kit

This kit comes standard in all our STC conversions but can be purchased separately if you are building your own kit. PLEASE NOTE:  Only instructions on mounting and how the valve works are included here. Complete instructions on how to properly route all fuel hoses only come when you purchase one of our full STC 100 or STC 200 kit.

Now in a pack of 25 for even more savings. These are my favorite European hose clamps. They tighten securely, don't cut into the hose, and don't rust or break. If you are working on an SVO fuel system for any Mercedes I recommend you have these clamps on hand. Cheap clamps can cause air leaks leading to great frustration- the US style clamps with holes that cut into the rubber. These clamps will work on all 8 mm hose, 5/16 and 3/8 US spec fuel or coolant hose.

I have gone through a lot of pain dealing with leaks in SVO conversion systems. Vegetable oil has an amazing wicking ability and will leak out of the slightest thread flaw. This is particularly true if you use iron pipe fittings or fittings of dissimilar metals.

These are the zip ties we have all been looking for. They have a super sticky tape of the foot of the tie so you can stick them anywhere in your engine compartment without having to drill a hole in the inner fender panel. (NOTE: Be sure to thoroughly clean the surface BEFORE installing). The other neat thing is that these zip ties can be loosened back up (just like the factory type) to remove the wire bundle or anything else you need to secure. Sold in packs of 6. You will love these!

This is one cool pre or final protection fuel filter. I have been looking for something like this for a long time. Not only is it all metal, just the right size, has a 60 micron large cleanable screen, but it can be taken apart by hand... and that is certainly a big plus when you are out on the road faced with a plugged-up filter!

Both myself and our customers are so impressed with the quality and performance of Monark Nozzles I wish I could convince everyone to install them in their Mercedes diesel. I like to use plastic inline filters to monitor the flow and quality of the fuel (yes you can even check for air in the system). The filters that have proven best for this application are Mercedes diesel pre-filters with brass insert ends for greater strength at the nipples. These filters do the job but are only available for 5/16 or 8 mm fuel hose. I have solved that problem by adding an alcohol resistant and very tight hose spacer on the end of each nipple. This in effect will allow you to use 3/8 inch fuel hose without deforming the hose or allowing leakage. These filters have the 90 degree nipple to allow you to fit it into tighter places.
