Kent started wearing protective hand gloves back in the day when only latex was readily available. When nitrile came along he was elated and has closely followed improvements in these gloves over the years. Recently he discovered what he believes is the ultimate glove when working on cars - especially old diesels! If you have watched any of his recent videos you will recognize them by the dark green color.

The advantages of these over other nitrile gloves are numerous:

Car alarms have their place, but on 20 year and older cars Kent is not so sure... When they get that old they can get very tempermental and will usually go off when you least expect it and in places that can cause great embarrassment. It is possible to disconnect the alarm system safely without affecting other systems if done properly. On some models it is fairly easy, on other models that have a starter circuit interrupter it is more difficult.

This 8 1/2 X 11 inch 8 page illustrated booklet covers the procedures to deactivate the alarm yourself. The manual may be short but it is long in information that could save you lots of headaches and a bunch of $$$ if you took your car to a shop to get the alarm working again.

The original rubber grommet and plastic elbow will become brittle over the years from the heat of the engine. When you go to remove the breather it will often just break off in your hand! The hard seal allows oil to leak causing a mess around the front of your valve cover. Ordering a replacement from the Mercedes dealer may come as a little price shock, so Kent came up with an inexpensive alternative.

This kit will work on the 1986 and 1987 300SDL, the 1987 300D and 300TD and the 1990 to 1993 300D 2.5. It may work on other models as well. Please view picture closely to confirm. Kit contents are as follows:

See Kent's video on his Fab Five. This cord is super strong and easy to tie off without the knots loosening up. Use it to hold up falling mufflers, hold the trunk lid down when hauling oversized loads, tie off loose things in the engine compartment - even keep your dog from running away - you can have some fun with this one!!!

One of Kent's top pet peeves is poor performing tape. All the promises of duct tape, gorilla tape, electrical tape just don't cut the mustard - especially when subjected to hard conditions of temperature, sun and moisture over time. This tape was designed for the home construction industry to seal out moisture and air in the underlayment system when framing a home. You can not believe how this stuff sticks. It does not tear. It stretches and forms around slight compound surfaces.

These are amazing. If you have not tried them before Kent highly recommends you do. Can be used around the shop, on the car, or in the home (keeping computer cables off the floor no less!). This kit contains 12 3M brand stickies with 12 medium length tie wraps. These stickies will stick to any smooth surface. Just make certain the surface is VERY clean before application.

This kit will allow you to replace the critcal worn parts inside the early 603 U.S. made Garrett T3 turbochargers. This kit will not work if your engine has a KKK turbo made in Germany. The only way to tell which turbo you have is by visual inspection. Please see notes at the end of this product description to help you verify which turbo you have. This standard 24 mm combination wrench is specially ground in our shop so that it will hold the fitting on the late 616 and 617 oil filter housing when loosening the oil cooler hose end nut. Without this wrench the fitting may start to turn with the hose nut and you will never get it off. There is just not enough room behind the oil cooler hose nut to get a standard thickness 24 mm open end wrench.

Over the years we have received many requests from our customers for what tools and hardware should be carried in the trunk of a Mercedes diesel on road trips. Kent decided it was time to come up with an easy to store kit that would meet these needs. As an added bonus we even include a set of new fuel filters. Plugged filters are the number one cause of sudden loss of power while driving. Rotten fuel hoses are the number one cause of fuel leaks and poor fuel economy. Tools are included to change both filters and hoses! This is a great companion to the original factory tool kit. Comes in a hard plastic case that can sit in the trunk side well - thus preventing the contents from becoming damp from trunk moisture.

SVO Advanced Theory and Operations Guide

This resistor will prolong the life of our FAST pencil glow plugs in your old Mercedes 170D or 180D. Depending on the nature of your current wiring this ballast resistor may or may not be needed. If you are running an OM 636 diesel engine in another application then this is a must have to prevent premature burnout. This tool will pay for itself the first time you use it - IF you consider your time worth something. :-). The plastic shift linkage bushing is a very common part that needs to be replaced on older Mercedes. Can you believe it is the exact same part that was used on all models for over 25 years! It is an inexpensive part that can cause big problems if it breaks out. It looks easy enough to install but it is not!!! Trying to install this oversized bushing in a lever hole up along side the transmission can be a REAL test of your patience. Even getting the old bushings out can drive you crazy... This is a must have tool for any Mercedes owner / enthusiast.  

If you have ever tried to remove and reinstall a shift rod attachment clip under your Benz you know how frustrating it can be. On some chassis like the 201 models it is almost impossible to even get to the clip let alone remove it with standard hand tools!

Kent designed this tool after spending years fighting these little clips. You will be amazed at just how easy it is to remove and install the clips with this little tool. PLEASE NOTE: The tool comes with instructions for use and for possible modification.  Keep in mind that all clips are not exactly the same, so the end of the tool may need some "minor tweaking" to get it to work perfectly on your clips.

When Kent developed this special polish compound to restore the anodized trim around the windows on older Mercedes Benz he discovered it also produced amazing results when used on other surfaces. It can polish small scratches out of the paint on the body of your car, and has proven to work wonders on the plastic parts of your car. Be sure to check out Kent's video on how it can be used to polish the plastic headlight lens covers on most of the newer cars on the road.

We had this set of 123 brake rotors custom slotted at a specialty brake shop. Slotting the rotors are primarily for high performance cars, but whoever said a 123 can't go fast! Slotting reduces heat buildup and brake fade as well as gives better braking performance when driving in heavy rain. We had considered producing these but the added cost proved to be a little too high. SO THIS IS ONE OF A KIND. Only this one set is available. New and never on a car.

This is a great assortment to have in your shop. This is heavy gauge 1/8 inch thick weldable high quality aluminum. The kit includes 2 feet of each of the following pieces of aluminum.

• 1 inch wide flat strap material
• 1.5 inch wide flat strap material
• 1 inch 90 degree angle stock

Installs directly onto your hood star. Red bow is made out of rubber to hold up to the elements. Check out Kent installing one on his Wife Linda's 300D 2.5! He is impressed with the engineering of this fine product.  It will not blow off the car even at high speed if installed as per the excellent instructions included!

Beautiful stainless steel valve stem caps with a rubber seal inside. Yes, that is correct. There is a rubber seal inside the cap that can seal off any tiny leaks from you tire valves!. Included is a cap tool to tighten or replace a leaking valve and one brand new U.S. made valve to replace any that are leaking on your tires. If you need more tire stem valves we also sell the same brand in packs of 4.

Our pressure bleeder is modified and put together here in our shop. We take a specialized garden sprayer and add a reliable pressure gauge and a modified cap that will screw on the top of your master cylinder reservoir.

Pressurized system flushing or air bleeder is the preferred method, particularly on older cars where you would want to avoid damaging the seals in an old master cylinder or on newer ABS equipped cars where pressure bleeding is the only reliable way to make certain you get all the air out of your ABS controller and brake lines.
