If you plan to change coolant hoses this is a must-have labor-saving tool. These are cleverly designed tools. I could not have done it better myself. I actually use to make a couple of different types before I found this set.
Applies to all 110 115 116 123 126 201 124 140 diesels from 1961 to 1994. From my many years of working professionally on Mercedes diesels I have learned fuel injectors are the single most neglected maintenance item. I believe there are a number of reasons for this.
This kit will work on all 115, 116, 123 and 126 chassis diesels from 1969 to 1987. Almost every old Mercedes diesel I see needs to have the motor mounts changed. If you have a mechanic do it for you it will cost an arm and a leg.
Want to fix a common leak? If you own a 617 turbo diesel Mercedes I suspect you have already had to deal with oil leaks. It comes with old diesel territory. There is one small common leak on these engines that is annoying at best but a real pain to repair.
Here is a critical little o-ring that is hard to find and hardly ever gets replaced. We recommend these get replaced every 3 or 4 oil changes.

1981 to 1984 5-cylinder turbo diesel engines. Good used turbo charger center section oil system outlet drain pipe tube as shown. This only fits the Garret T3 Turbo. Will not fit the KKK turbos. Will not fit 1985 models with trap oxidizer.
If your front crank bolt loosens up and falls out, this harmonic counterbalance plate and pulleys can be lost or damaged. These used parts are in excellent condition and include the two shear pins for the main bolt.

This is a brand new Elring seal and gasket installation kit for the 617 Turbo diesel turbo charger. Fits 116 Chassis 300SD from 1978-1980, 123 Chassis 300DT and 300TDT from 1981-1985 and 126 chassis from 1981-1985.
Good used exhaust manifold assembly with no cracks. Fits 1980 and 1981 300D non turbo that uses EGR valve. Please note EGR valve hole. This exhaust manifold can also be used in the 1977 - 1979 models but you would need to plug the EGR access hole in the center of the exhaust manifold.

This is a good used aluminum water pump housing that fits all OM617 5-cylinder turbo diesels from 1978-1985. This includes the W116, W123, and early W126 chassis.

This "permanent" red threadlocker is probably the best that I have used. It has the best sealing cap and cures rapidly and reliably when confined between metal parts. Use it to lock threaded fasteners, nuts, bolts and screws from loosening.

Here is another diesel item I strongly believe should be replaced as a preventative measure. Water pumps do not last forever and when they go, it is usually when you are on a trip - right? I feel they should be changed every 100,000 miles.
This gasket should be replaced when you remove the oil cooler housing to replace the main block gasket. These get old and hard and will leak due to age. Easy to do it on the bench. Not so easy to do it on the car.
