Old cars and brake issues go hand in hand. Especially if the car is not driving very often. Brake problems usually first show up as “dragging” or sticking brakes. If this issue is not dealt with immediately it can lead to serious problem including the car catching on fire.
This is a must-have if you attempting a caliper rebuild on one with stuck pistons. If you own one of our injector pressure testers here is a great add-on that will allow you to use the tester to remove stuck pistons from old brake calipers.
You can save a lot of money if you can rebuild your old brake calipers, especially on some older models. If you can just get the pistons out of the housings, most calipers are rebuildable, unless they have been subject to road salt or have sat exposed to the weather for years without use.

There are times when you need a big wrench - and this is the one Kent has used the most over the years. 16 inch curved joint plier does the job when needed! There are many places you can use this when you really need some squeezing power, but it also can work to get on big nuts in tight places.

Older Mercedes have a very effective emergency brake design which was virtually the same on all models from the late 1960s right up through the early 1990s. The actuating mechanisms are all mechanical and are controlled by a Y cable under the car.

Very clever design! Fastest and cleanest way to pump bleed your Mercedes brake system. Works on all Mercedes from early 1960s to mid 1990s. Just install Speedbleeder valves on your calipers, attach a clear hose and place in bottle. Just open bleeder screw and start pumping.
Here is a neat little protection cap that is most often missing on well over half the Mercedes I ever see. These fit over the caliper bleeder screw to prevent dirt and grime from entering the nipple. 4 are required per car and fit both front and rear calipers.

You asked for it so we made it happen. Many of you have been wanting to know what we use for high temp thread sealant (when we don't want to use the permanent epoxy). We don't like thread tape or anything with Teflon in it.
