One of the handiest wrenches you can own! This double reversing ratcheting S wrench can save the day! Works great for 17 mm nuts like on bumpers and alternator brackets and the 15 mm can work on some hard to get to flex disk bolts.
Door hinge lubrication has to be one of the most neglected maintenance items on the older models. I think part of the problem stems from the fact owners don't know how to do it or don't know how to acquire the proper grease gun to lubricate those special fittings on the door hinges.
If you own and maintain an older car (especially 15 years and older) you must be willing to take care of its lubrication needs or you may spend big money later in repairs.

126 sedan hood hinges are prone to problems when not lubricated and they are a common failure part. When these seize up due to rust the pin in the pivot joints will just break! The locking lever can also be damaged by rough and improper handling.

Adjusting the power tilting sunroof is not difficult if you have the right knowledge and a couple alignment pin tools. Adjustment is not usually needed if the sunroof is working properly.
Groaning, snaping and jammed door check straps are a common problem on the older models (up through 1995). This is primarily due to age and lack of lubrication. Newer models will soon start having similar problems. Rain water getting inside the doors is the big killer.

Why would you need to remove a fuel tank? If it is heavily rusted or contaminated sometimes it is just easier to find a good used fuel tank and replace it. Trying to clean a heavily gummed up fuel tank is a real challenge.

Finally a socket to remove your fuel tank screen that really works. Most correct size sockets tend to be SO BIG that they require 3/4 inch drive ratchets and extensions to use them. Who has those in their tool box??

This can happen when you least expect it! It happened to me right when I purchased a W109 300SEL and it can be really frustrating.
This super fine cloth along with Miracle Paint can really do some fine rust repair detailing. You can use it on a rough pitted area that you want to smooth out. Put on a couple layers of cloth and coat with Miracle Paint. Let dry and block sand.

Removing the tilting sunroof panel is a little bit of a mystery to many owners. Since there are no exposed fasteners, at first glance it can appear to be very difficult to remove.

Indications that your seal needs replacing are tears in the lip and no resistance when you close your trunk. If you trunk snaps shut too easily it means the seal has collapsed and is no longer sealing properly.
