Kent's procedure uses the factory recommended "drip tube method" but with a "twist." He has devised a way to get accurate and consistant IP timing results while trying to get the drip tube to drip at one drip per second exactly when it should!

This kit will allow you to remove your old fuel warmer and completely bypass it with the parts and instructions you will receive in this kit.
Mercedes installed small fuel warmers on these engines using engine coolant to warm up the fuel just before it enters the injection pump. The idea is great - especially in cold climates, but in moderate and warmer climates it is probably not needed.
While working on the fuel injectors of a 240D this week, Kent finally decided he had had enough. After 20 years of fighting those fuel injector return hoses he decided he just had to come up with a tool to make the job easier. 2 hours later the tool was designed and the prototype made.
Any time you are removing and replacing your fuel injectors you will need to change the return hose and the heat shield crush washers. If you don’t, you will have leaking hoses and possible compression leaks at the injector nozzles.
Leaking fuel injector pumps have become a very common problem in the 60x. engines produced from the mid 1980s to the mid 1990s. The early 60x.
If your fuel level gauge is not reading accurately or the needle jumps around and or your car’s low fuel warning light does not comes on, it is usually a problem with the tubular sending unit in the fuel tank.
If you need a good tank for your 126 diesel then this is it. It is rust free inside. Please note, does not come with a cap or fuel level sending unit nor does it come with a fuel tank screen or hoses. Those items can be ordered separately or you can use them from your existing tank.
This is a common occurrence as these gas engines with Bosch C.I.S. fuel injection age. Most of them are now at least 20 + years old. The problem goes something like this. You start the engine cold and it will hardly run. It runs rough and idles very low and will even quit a few times.
If you think CIS fuel injectors can just be ignored, think again. Sure, your gas engine will continue to start and run “ok”, but you may find that it is not producing the power it once did nor the fuel mileage it once delivered.
Brand new Bosch Fuel Injector as shown. This is the later style with the smaller threads. It will only fit the models listed below with CIS fuel injection. How do you know if you have CIS? If you have hard metal fuel lines going to your injectors with no wires you have CIS.
Works on all models from 1977 to 1993 with the Bosch C.I.S Fuel Injection system - see models listed below
The timing device installed in the W115, W116, W123 and early W126 with OM615, OM616, and OM617 engines from 1986 to 1985 is somewhat a mystery to many owners.
If you are new to older Mercedes diesels and have not worked on them before, this is one of the first things you want to learn. Especially if you ever run out of fuel. Without knowing how to do this you will never get the engine started again!
Fixing a Key Source of Fuel Leaks on Your Fuel Injected Late 80’s Early 90’s Engine - On Demand Video
If you smell fuel inside your engine compartment you need to find the source of the leak and fix it IMMEDIATELY. I think we have all personally seen or seen pictures of those cars with the engine burning on the side of the road. Yes, usually caused by a fuel leak close to the engine!!!
For all MBZ diesel engines 1950 to 1993. These are built at the Mercedessource shop to control quality and production demands. Each one is tested here in our shop before shipping.
If you have been reluctant to overhaul your worn our diesel fuel injectors because the job is too difficult or too costly then think again!
Keeping your injectors clean and tuned is one of the best ways you can improve mileage in a diesel. Buy both Kents new manual Diesel Fuel Injector Cleaning and Testing Procedures and his Top Brass Custom Cleaning Tool Kit and save!
Fits the following: These nozzles fit ONLY 1986 to 1989 201 Chassis 5 CYLINDER 190D 2.5 Turbo and NON-Turbo. This is the critical inside wear part of the injector that delivers the fuel spray into the cylinder. These are direct replacement nozzles for your factory Bosch Fuel Injectors.
FITS all 116 123 Diesel and Gasoline, and 126 chassis from 1977 to 1985. Finally a socket to remove your fuel tank screen that really works. Most correct size sockets tend to be SO BIG that they require 3/4 inch drive ratchets and extensions to use them. Who has those in their tool box??
When it comes to cleaning diesel fuel injectors, and yes they do need periodic cleaning, there is nothing like having the right tools to do the job.
When removing the main fuel filter you need a wrench that is usually not included in most tool sets. Ours is high quality made in the USA and will easily remove the filter bolt without rounding off the corners. Works on W116 and W126 300SD and W123 240D, 300D, 300CD, and 300TD.
Exceptional injection pump as shown. Will include the injection pump, lift pump, all hard plastic fuel lines, complete main fuel filter assembly and good working vacuum shut off valve on the back of the pump. Please note does not include the metal fuel lines going to the injectors.
Good used unit with the center bolt. Hard plastic lines can be used. Rubber hoses and center bolt seals with need replacing. Not damaged
This works with the compression tester we sell to allow you to do a compression test on any 1990 to 1993 300D 2.5 as well as the 350SD, 350SDL, W140 300SD directly through the fuel injection hole. We have had so many requests for this we finally decide to machine it ourselves.
Fits the following: All 5 cylinder diesel engines from 1975 to 1985. For 300D 300TD 300CD 300SD, PDF instructions included. This is the critical inside wear part of the injector that delivers the fuel spray into the cylinder. These are direct replacement new fuel injector nozzles from Bosch.
This is the best tool to use when installing or removing the Monark hand primer pump. PLEASE NOTE. This is 19mm and will NOT work on the Bosch hand primer pump or other style pumps (most others are 17 mm).
This is a brand new Genuine Mercedes check valve for the fuel injection pump on 4 and 5 cylinder diesels 1977 to 1985. This valve is mounted on inside of pump in the fuel line going to the filter.
This 24 minute on demand training video comes with our injector back flush cleaning kit. You can purchase this video separately, but please keep in mind you will not have any of the tools or supplies to complete this procedure yourself.
With these old gas fuel injectors, sometimes you just have to "back flush" the insides to restore them to peak performance. There is no guarantee that back flush cleaning will restore every old gasoline mechanical fuel injector. Some are just plain worn out.
This video is included free with the purchase of our check valve overhaul kit. Please see related products below
This is something many owner's and mechanics miss. That little check valve on the side of the injection pump can cause a lot of starting problems on the older diesels.
When any part of the overboost protection system fails, your turbo diesel engine can lose power or start to smoke too much.
Want to get more power our of your 5 cylinder OM617 turbo diesel? Maybe you will like to reduce the dark smoke coming out the tail pipe during heavy acceleration?
Total Run Time: 8:01
Here is a wrench I should have made 15+ years ago. I can not believe how much time and frustration I would have saved over the years working on all those 100's of Mercedes diesel engines if I would have done it!
This clear 16 oz. bottle and hose is the safest way to test of clean your older gas and diesel injectors by not having to breathe the harmful fumes produced by the fine mist spray. NOTE: This only works for mechanical fuel injectors. It is not intended for electrically operated fuel injectors.
The FLOW pressure method can be used to both check and set injection pump timing. Personally, Kent likes to use this method only when checking if the I.P. needs adjustment.
The FLOW or low pressure method of checking and adjusting injection pump timing does not require a separate pressure tank. With this method you use the hand primer pump to pump up pressure in the injection pump to get fuel to flow out of the half round drip tube included in this kit.
If you have had to remove any of the banjo bolts you can see that those sealing rings are getting quite old... when you see scoring in the ring the ring appears to be crushed, they should be replaced to prevent leaks and to prevent air from getting into the fuel lines.
This is a collection of SPECIAL tools Kent has put together to help you grab, twist, and pull on things in and around your Mercedes. He makes each one of these tools right here in his shop.
Kent put together the three most important products you will need to use his pressurized method of setting the critical timing on your diesel engine injection pump. This is often negelected and when corrected can lead to faster starts, better fuel economy and less engine smoke.
This one hour long on demand video is included free with the purchase of Kent's OM61x injection pump timing kit. The method he teaches uses his own kit, his custom built pressure tank, and his special IP snake wrench.
Another wrench designed by Kent Bergsma and born out of frustration. This could be the weirdest wrench anywhere in the world! While shooting a video on adjusting the injection pump timing on an older Mercedes diesel Kent ran into a big problem.
Fits the following: These nozzles fit 1986 to 1993 603 Engines and 1987 (only) 124 chassis 300D and 300TD. Also fits 1994-1995 S350 ONLY. WILL NOT fit 1995 E300D! This is the critical inside wear part of the injector that delivers the fuel spray into the cylinder.
This unique tank not only functions as an emergency fuel tank, but it can also serve to help troubleshoot diesel engine performance problems as well as complete a clean and efficient diesel purge.
33 page digital PDF manual. Applies to all 110 115 116 123 126 201 124 140 diesels from 1961 to 1994. From my many years of working professionally on Mercedes diesels I have learned fuel injectors are the single most neglected maintenance item. I believe there are a number of reasons for this.
The original fuel lines on most late 70s and early 80s Mercedes Diesels were braided line and with age they do rot and develop slow leaks.
Installation instructions specific for 123 / 126 chassis only - general for other chassis. Details included on how to make your own fuel tank outlet hose and fitting with materials supplied in the Flexible Fuel Line Replacement kit.
