New crank main rear seal

Kent has been working a long time to find a way to stop the ugly corrosion on aluminum and magnesium engine parts. Particularly valve covers and intake manifolds.

This is one of Kent's favorite tools around his shop. It is used almost daily. The tool rose out of a need to be able to safely hold fuel inectors while cleaning when with a large high speed wire wheel. No tool like this is availabe so it had to be built in our shop!

When working on automotive engines a long heavy machinist straight edge is a must. This is the best way to tell if the mating surfaces are flat and true. That includes cylinder heads, engine blocks, intake and exhaust manifolds as well as critical sealing metal to metal covers and housings.

This custom-made thin head wrench by Kent Bergsma can save the day and your pocketbook.  It is very important that you hold the fitting base on the oil cooler when removing the oil cooler hoses. A regular 22mm wrench is almost always too thick and can also cause damage.

Version 4 update 2/22: New color and style but still does the same job. This is one of the key tools you will need to remove stubborn pre chambers from the cylinder head of your old diesel engine.

We starting using some of these to plug brake lines while changing out calipers. Then we started using them on fuel and oil hoses. Now we are using them all over the place and keep finding new uses for them on a monthly basis. These are a MUST HAVE! Watch the video below to become a believer!

When doing a compression test you must properly seal the inner surface of the pre-chamber with the fuel injector hole adapter. Copper washers work the best for this to ensure a 100 percent seal. Do not use the engine's heat shield washers.

Kent modified this puller and developed a procedure to remove the front crank seal race so the job could be affordable from the DIY mechanic. This costs less than half the cost of the factory tool.

This price is for TWO nuts as shown. If you find you can not accurately adjust one of your older diesel engine valve clearances it usually means the threads on the lower adjusting nut are stripped. New ones are getting harder to find so we are offering good used as an alternative.

Please, what you see is exactly what will receive. These are mostly from OM616 and OM617 diesel engines and related transmissions and may NOT all be from the same vintage or chassis model. Study the picture carefully. Only one exactly like this.

This is the hose on the left side of your engine that seems to always rot and leak power steering fluid. If you look closely at it you will most likely see small cracks in the hose. This is the larger size hose used on those early models with power steering from the early 1960's through 1976.

Kent finally went to work to solve the problem of rusty water pump mounting bolts. Once the problem was studied carefully the solution became obvious. Watch the video for a full explanation and partial instructions below.
