Pencil (parallel style) glow plugs usually fail slowly over time. The first signs are rough running after startup. Then you may see a flashing glow plug light on your dash. If ignored over time you engine may not start at all.

This is Kents new favorite ratchet wrench for turning engines over during service and repair. There are a number of maintenance procedures that require you rotate the engine over by hand.
This is no longer available so we custom make this in our shop. This hard to find 5 way vacuum connector can be used to replace a worn or deteriorated factory connector you as an alternation you can use it to replace 2 - 3 way connectors where needed.
This video is specifically for setting up and using Kent's newest version of his diesel fuel injector bench mount tester. It does not contain any information on the actual process of cleaning or rebuilding a fuel injector.
In this video, Kent will show you how to safely and cleanly remove the fuel from the tank on your older Benz. You will need to drain the fuel anytime you replace the back end hoses, the tank filter screen, the fuel pump or the fuel filter.

On the average W116 300SD nine out of ten times we find these mounts rotten, soft, or collapsed. It is often just due to the age of the rubber. Have you noticed your engine is shaking more at idle? Maybe you are noticing new vibrations that were not there before.

This is a brand new 3 way Vacuum change over valve. It is located in the engine compartment on a number of different chassis Mercedes, both gas and diesel models, from the 70s up through the late 90s.
Kent has been working a long time to find a way to stop the ugly corrosion on aluminum and magnesium engine parts. Particularly valve covers and intake manifolds.
Fits all 123 240D 300D 300TD 300CD sedans, coupes and wagons 1977 to 1985, and All 126 Chassis 300SD from 1981 to 1985. This is the you need for the cure to a very common problem. There is nothing worse than fuel smell coming from the trunk of your 123.
If you are experiencing hard starting or unexplained loss of power, your engine's lift pump could be failing.
If you have an early 300SD and your vacuum pump fails, you could find yourself “up the creek without a paddle.” The actual mechanism of the pump is very robust and it hardly ever fails, but not so with the rubber diaphragms inside the pump.
This was a new replacement unit only on the car for about five years before the 1980 transmission was removed. RED MEANS RED. Only works if your current transmission has a red modulator THAT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THIS ONE. Will also work on some 80-81 W123 240's.

Brand new Meyle Auxiliary fan motor for 6 cylinder diesel engines from 1986 and 1987.
Brand new Head gasket set for 6 cylinder diesel engines from 1986 to 1987. Does not include valve cover or valve stem seals.
This rubber ring fits in the cap of the engine fuel filter. Does not come with most replacement filters. Should be replaced every 3rd filter change unless you seal is damaged during service.
This removable threadlocker is probably the best that I have used. It has the best sealing cap and cures rapidly and reliably when confined between metal parts. Use it to lock threaded fasteners, nuts, bolts and screws from loosening. Extremely important in critical engine and suspension parts.
New intake manifold gasket between head and manifold.
You should consider replacing this gasket when you remove your manifold to replace the glow plugs. Fits all 602 5 cylinder diesel engines from 1986 to 1993.
New OE Reinz head gasket set. Fits all 240D 1974 to 1983, 4 cylinder diesel. Comes complete with all gaskets only as shown in the picture. Valve stem seals are included.
If your oil cap is leaking oil or you find it very hard to remove then it is best to replace it. This new OE cap with fit all gas and diesel model engines from 1984 to 1993.
Brand New Reutter Expansion Tank Cap marked 140. This fits all 201 chassis 190E and 190D from 1984 to 1993 and all 124 chassis sedans, coupes and wagons from 1986 to 1995 both gas and diesel. A worn expansion cap is the number one reason for very gradual coolant loss.
Good used exhaust manifold assembly with no cracks. Fits 1980 and 1981 300D non turbo that uses EGR valve. Please note EGR valve hole. This exhaust manifold can also be used in the 1977 - 1979 models but you would need to plug the EGR access hole in the center of the exhaust manifold.
This custom-made thin head wrench by Kent Bergsma can save the day and your pocketbook. It is very important that you hold the fitting base on the oil cooler when removing the oil cooler hoses. A regular 22mm wrench is almost always too thick and can also cause damage.
Good used bolt set with good hex heads.
Here is the location of these five important bolts. Do not use the cheap paper gasket in most gasket kits for the oil filter housing. It will leak!!!!

When changing the front crank seal on your older 6 cylinder Mercedes you may or may not need to replace the sealing race that goes on over the front of the crankshaft.
These transmissions are now 40+ years old, and with age comes hardened o-rings and seals, leading to what I call "pesky" leaks.
Fits the Following, 1975 to 1976 ONLY 115 chassis 300D and 123 chassis 300D 300CD and 300TD from 1977 to 1979 with series style loop glow plugs. SVO / WVO applicable. If you are tired of glow plug problems, then this kit is made for you.
