This is another small "frustration" for W123 diesel owners. The fuse box cover is mounted flat to the firewall behind and to the left of the brake booster. You can not just pull it straight out nor can you just push it straight back on.

After years of "fighting" fuse replacement, Kent finally decided he had had enough! And so was born another special tool. It is designed to securely grab hold of a ceramic fuse, remove it from it, and replace it with minimal exertion and no damage.
Have you been having electrical problems in your older Mercedes? Maybe you have taken the fuse box cover off and wiggled a few fuses and it has solved the problem for a while. You probably noticed corrosion on the tips of the old aluminum fuses.
Fits chassis 116 123 126 124 and 201 Diesels with pencil glow plugs, from 1978 to 1989. This includes the OM617, OM601, OM602, and OM603 engines. They also work on 1977 to 1979 300D 300CD and 300TD with series glow plugs. This pack includes three individual fuses.
50 amp fuses were used on most 123 240D diesel glow plug systems due to the lower amp draw. 80 amp fuses will also work but some may choose to go with original spec. Check the number on the center of the fuse you are currently using. It should read either 50 or 80.

These instructions pertain only to the multi pin plug switch on the back of the ignition lock and key assembly.
This is one of Kent's favorite tools. Lets you reach into tight places - very long nose curved pliers with teeth - like hemostat. With the locking handles it is amazing what this clamp / pliers can hold - and the tight places it can get into!
This is referred to as the multifunction relay that controls, turn signal, hazard, wiper delay and rear window defroster. If you hare having problems with any of those check fuses first - then suspect relay.
Brand new Genuine OEM turbo diesel kickdown switch. Fits 123 turbos from 1982-1985 and 126 turbos from 1981-1985. This switch is located under your accelerator pedal, and it tells the transmission when to down shift. If the switch breaks it can stick in or on!
With the long lead provided (12+ feet) you can hook up to your car battery and go around the car and test the operation of various electrical components.
