Most calipers on the older classics need help. They may "work" but often the pistons are not moving freely, causing uneven pad wear and excessive rotor wear. We have found that almost all brake calipers can be "rebuilt." The exception is those that have been subjected to SEVERE road salt. If not too rusty then this is something you can do yourself.
