This 20-minute instruction video covers the following:
- Installing the sunroof motor and drive assembly back into the trunk
- Proper alignment of the cable tubes
- Removing, cleaning, and lubricating the sunroof cable
- Cleaning the old grease out of the inside of the sunroof cable tube
- Proper installation and alignment of the cable
- Step-by-step procedure for aligning the pin clip on the end of the cable
- How clutch adjustments are made
- Setting final clutch adjustment for proper closing of the roof
PLEASE NOTE: For removing and servicing the sunroof motor drive assembly on the bench, see Part 7. This video does not cover the removal and repair of the sunroof panel, the removal of the air dam, or the replacement of the sunroof seals. That information is covered in other videos in this series (see below)
If you can not move the sunroof, I recommend you purchase Kent's video on emergency sunroof headliner panel removal. That panel must be removed to reach the fasteners and release the cable, allowing you to reach up and move the roof by hand.
