you will be sorry if you don't replace these

Kent calls these the "hidden" seals that often do not get replaced. The reason is that many consider it a hassle to drill out the rivets on the bottom of the drum and replace them with machine screws. It IS a hassle if you don't have the right drill bits, the right tap, the right countersink, and the right srews - let alone good, long-lasting O-rings. Please note: If you are not familiar with the job, you will need some type of press to collapse the springs that hold the piston inside the drum  (see our advanced kit below).

Kit contents:

  • Viton seals for bottom ring plates inside the drum
  • Drill to drill out the rivets
  • Tap to thread the 3 holes in each drum
  • Modified drill to countersink the rings
  • High-strength countersunk machine screws.

Note: Instructions are NOT included in this basic kit. They can be purchased separately below. If you purchase the advanced kit with the bench pressure instructions will be included at no extar cost

Adjustable press to remove the pistons in the K1 and K2 for resealing (also under heavy pressure) that we offer in our advanced kit (see below)

The small drill bit is used to drill the heads off the rivets without scratching or damaging the drum.

After removing the rivets, the holes are enlarged in the aluminum ring with the smaller bit, then the larger bit is used to countersink the holes for the new screws. The heads of the screws must be flush with the inside surface of the aluminum ring.

The tap is carefully used to thread the three holes in the drum the same size as the new screws included in the kit (6).

These are the O-rings included in this kit.
