My 1079 300d non turbo has been overheating for years. The problem is not severe but seems to be on the increase. The guage runs halfway between the midrange and the hottest. The car has 150K on it, and has underspec compression. All new waterpump, radiator thermostat, no difference. Also soon after shutdown, if the car is restarted the guage reads very hot, but cools down quickly, back to the halfway hot point.
