Kent,
Got the replacement hose from you and had it installed (it's tax season and well no time for this CPA this time of the year to get my hands dirty, except deal with the IRS!)
At any rate, did exactly as the instructions said and didn't turn it on for a couple of days, let the system circulate. Coolant level is good. Plugged it in last night, we went into the 20s here. Got up this morning and the hose itself was hot to the touch but it didn't seem like it got the coolant hot and the car had its usual slower go first thing in the cold. Based on your write up I was expecting to be into the fry oil by the time I backed out of the driveway. Didn't get up to temp until the usual 5 min time frame.
Am I doing something wrong or expecting too much?
TIA
Ben
