this is really a great forum. i have spent my mornings before work reading the archives. there is much to learn about MB's and their repair. i recomend everyone start at the last page and work you way forward. this is a vault of mechanical information ... thanks to the Bergsmas i have seen a lot of guys do PM's and then have something go awry. my 240 isn't perfect but it starts up on icey cold 15 degree mornings and is more than happy to clank along at 60 MPH when i ask it to. i too want to do a little prevenative maintenance like changeing all the coolant hoses and flush the radiator. but i have to admit there appears to be more issues after the fact than the job warrants. any thoughts? we all want our cars to be dependable but i have to question doing certian things that just do not need to be done.
