85 300TD vacuum pressure reading?

i have a 1985 300td wagon...testing the vaccum pressure...it is at 17...is it worth a vacuum pump rehaul to bring it up to the standard 20-23?...thanks...

Are you sure it is the pump?

Have you done all the isolation tests to make sure the vacuum is not leaking off through another component? If you have then I will recommend installing a new kit. One of your checkvalves may have developed a small leak.

thanks kent...i am sure it is the pump as i did the isolation test and changed the main check valve (which brought the pressure up 2)...i am questioning the worth of doing the repair for an extra 3-5...thanks for your time...
