Blower Motor 1985 300SD Turbo Diesel

n/a
Can anyone out there direct me to the location of any relays or inline fuses that might be the cause of my blower motor not working. I know the blower motor works having run 12 volts directly to it. Additionally, I have no power when checking the motor leads with a volt meter when everything is hooked up. I originally thought the problem was in the block or coil resister beneath the master cylinder/vacuum booster. Changed out both resisters and still no power to the motor. The fuse looks good (number 11, I think in the fuse box compartment.)

My research indicates there is what is called a resistor/relay devise mounted directly alongside the blower motor housing. It is difficult to access this component without removing some of the dash, it appears. I can, however, unplug the devise and plug in a new one to see if it solves the problem. Don't like to just start replacing parts unless I'm certain it's causing the problem though. Anyone with experience along these lines?

Remember reading somewhere that the blower motor is linked to the air conditioner/compressor somewhere at the drier or low pressure cut off switch.I should mention that both the drier and compressor have been removed as I am going to have new ones installed soon. The blower has worked with these components removed up till now for heating this winter.

Any suggestions would be immensely appreciated, as it soon will reach into the 100's here in Phoenix and I need the blower working.
