Hi All,
I have a beautiful 1989 560 SEL and have had it for a few years now with little or no problems at all, then in the past week the central door lock fuse #15 on the panel popped, replaced it all was good for a day or so then I started popping fuses all over the place to be specific fuse # 15 (door lock and many other items) then Fuse "A" (front seat adjst) then "C" (F-Left and R-rear window and bench adjst) and finally "D" (R-front & L-rear) on the panel, with the key "ON" 15, A,C&D all show 12+ volts on tab s that hold the fuse in place. With the key "OFF" #15 and "A" still show 12+ Volts and pop fuses every time I put one in. To ad insult to inquiry the Dome light stays on and the seat belt lights on the upper console (by dome light) flashes constantly.
OK that being said I have checked all the door lights/switches trunk light rear interior light / reading lights for shorts or bare wires.
Not sure how or what the switch over valve seat arrester is or does (fuse #15 as well) Not sure where to begin on the central locking system, and what the heck is a safety belt handover arm?
I know this sounds very vague and electrical was never my strong suit back in my wrenching days (I was a frontend/suspension/alignment tech)
Any direction or advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
