Not so much a question as some tips
Kent once again has takin the guess work out installing new brushes.
This is a back bender!
If you're real careful, you don't need to remove the underdash cover(fabric)
Loosen the screws and carefully pull towards the rear of the car.
won't move much, but enough to able to pull the plastic cover away from the "waffle" motor/fan cover.
{Left it in because I couldn't figure out how to yank the cover which is fastened with staples to the duct}
Remember: IF YOU FORCE THINGS THEY WILL BREAK!!!!!
As Kent says "take your time"
Well
Took the housing out and used this stuff called "Tuff Stuff" (spray foam cleaner)and cue tips and carefully rinsed the cage with water. DO NOTE SOAK MOTOR.
Sprayed the armature and such with contact cleaner
installed new brushes.
Caution when soldiering the wires on.
Heating up the connection point(kinda like a copper Pop rivet)to much will melt the plastic.
Cleaned everything:>)
Dang if doesn't look Brand New.
One less to do on the list!
