1984 300 CD Rear Bumper Corrosion

removed the rear bumper and associated rubber trim pieces because the black trim piece running the length of the bumper was loose. Further investigation revealed it's time to conduct some corrosion control on all the metal parts.

Looking inside the bumper one bumper shock has separated from the bumper. I plan to just drill holes and bolt the bumper and shock back together. However, the bumper is severely corroded where the bumper and bumper shock contact, possibly a case of dissimilar metal contact.

The bumper appears to be an aluminum alloy, any corrosion control solutions that have worked on the bumper before I reassemble the parts?

Thanks
Walter
