Yes, with age, they can leak from the inside out ever so slowly. Replace before they fail! This is a great upgrade that fits most models from the early 70s up to the mid-to-late ' 90s. The wire protector on these hoses will prevent chafing, especially from loose V-belts. If your transmission oil cooler hoses are original, then I would recommend you change them. They can actually rot internally and start weeping oil through the hose cover! You do not want to lose your transmission fluid while driving at freeway speeds... it can be costly. Two are required and should be changed at the same time.

WARNING: When replacing these flexible hoses, be sure to inspect the aluminum lines all the way back to the transmission for wear points caused by chafing. If excessively worn or leaking, they can be repaired with my kit listed below. This is particularly important on diesel engines due to the excessive vibration.
