Have you ever had a hard time finally a very small coolant leak? Do you find yourself adding small amounts of coolant but can not see any leak? Is there a funny smell coming from inside your Benz when you run the heater?
In this video, Kent will walk you through the steps needed to convert your older Brake Bleeder tank to one that can continue to bleed brake systems as well as pressure test radiators and cooling systems.
This was a good working unit before taken apart. All the internal parts are very usable. This will give you some repair spares for the future.
Kent has sourced 2 special Viton o-rings for the outer pump housing on these early djetronic Bosch electric fuel pumps. There are two orings that harden with age causing the pump to leak fuel at the outer end of the pump.
Many uses for this quality hard steel tool including removing W123 and early W126 motor mount bolts.
On a regular basis, Kent and Gerson custom make tools to make certain jobs go easier and faster. So is the case with this long reach ratchet. It was developed to get glow plugs out of the older diesel engines without having to remove the hard lines.
You will receive two (2) five liter bottles more than enough to do a full oil change on any vehicle:
This video will not only save the condition of your door panel, but it will save you a lot of time and frustration when you go to replace a door panel after doing maintenance inside your door. Those old plastic film liners always seem to be torn, ripped, and downright ugly.
We know that many of you own multiple Mercedes, including both gas and diesel models. If you own one of Kent’s fuel injector pressure testers you no doubt will want to test all your applicable mechanical fuel injectors in both types of older engines.
In this short video, Kent will give you an overview on setting up and using Version 3 of his bench mount CIS gasoline injector pressure tester.
If you own one of the early Mercedes overhead camshaft engines from the mid-1950's up to the mid-1970s that have mechanical (non-self-adjusting) lifters this is a MUST HAVE tool!
This is one set that will pretty much do it all: door panels, radio, windows, interior trim, exterior trim, engine, fastener plugs, seals, etc. Strong enough to even change a bicycle tire...
Get rid of that old and ineffective transmission fluid in your older power steering system. It is the number one cause of excessive gear wear in your steering box. This is our partial kit that does not include the fluids so it can be shipped by air mail. Please study the pictures here.
Kent video instructions will take you through the process of flushing out the old automatic transmission fluid and replacing it with modern enhanced power steering fluid. This procedure was filled on a W108 280SE 6 cylinder sedan.
Get rid of that old and ineffective transmission fluid in your older power steering system. It is the number one cause of excessive gear wear in your steering box. This kit will include almost everything you will need to do this yourself, along with complete step-by-step video instructions.
This is the hose on the left side of your engine that seems to always rot and leak power steering fluid. If you look closely at it you will most likely see small cracks in the hose. This is the larger size hose used on those early models with power steering from the early 1960's through 1976.
This is the very best hose Kent has found to use to install spark plugs in restricted spaces. Watch the video below and he will demonstrate.
Keeping your throttle linkage ball sockets and pivot points lubricated extends the life of the parts and maintains top performance for the engine as well as some of the later transmissions.
This video will show Kent's technique on how to prime and paint alloy wheels using our wheel paint kit and masking dam that we sell separately. See below. The techniques will also apply to any spray can paint you should choose to use.
Want the best, fastest, and easiest way to polish faded anodized aluminum trim, to remove fine scratches from your glass, to loosen rusted and stuck fittings and bolts, and to sand rust out of tight places? - enter the multitool or multi-function tool.
It also fits 1977 to 1980 280SE, 450SE, and 450SEL. We only have a few of these custom-machined SL steering locks left. LIMIT ONE per customer. We have been informed that there is no plan to manufacture new steering locks again for these classic cars.
For a number of maintenance operations, you need to be able to turn the engine over by hand. This includes valve adjustment, timing chain replacement, injection pump timing on diesel engines, checking and setting internal engine timing, draining the torque converter, and others.
This is a full 25-minute step-by-step instructional video on how to properly flush or bleed your brake system using our pressure brake bleeder and fluid capture tank.
If you already have a multi-function tool or you plan to buy either our glass or anodized aluminum polish kit ( see below ) you really don't need a second tool unless you want to dedicate one just for "banging" on rusty fittings and bolts. We offer this same kit with the tool included.
In this video, Kent explains the correct procedure for cleaning and lubricating your hubs and rear brake rotor BEFORE you install your wheels. He hardly ever sees this done when removing wheels on 15 plus-year-old Mercedes so he knows it is almost ALWAYS neglected.
This tank works amazing! Put in the heavy rear end or trans fluid. Pump up the pressure. Stick the non-fall-out end in to fill hole... and just push on the valve in the handle of the filling wand.
Kent came up with this kit because of all the times he replaced e-brake shoes only to end up with battered knuckles and extreme headaches. This video is included free with the purchase of the toolkit.
This video is intended to be used as instructions when purchasing Kent's Rust Buster Tool. It can be viewed separately but you will need the tool to apply the principles. This video is included free of charge when purchasing the tool. See related products below:
Have you dreaded changing the rear end fluid before because it is a pain and ends up being really "messy?" Kent finally decided there had to be a better way so he went to work and came up with the idea of using a simple and affordable custom made pressure tank to "flush" and refill differentials
One day Kent "finally had it!" Replacing parking brake shoes was always a dreaded job. As he thought about it he realized the frustration was mostly due to the hassle of getting all the holding springs on and off. So he set out to develop a new tool.
These are Kent's favorites. As shown in this video on youtube. Pack of 5 shipped.
This is not a complete instructional video on how to "overhaul" the M116 and M117 D-Jetronic fuel injected V8 distributor. There is lots of information out there on installing new points, setting the dwell and timing, replacing the cap and wires, etc.
Maybe you have even tried this only to have to patch fall on the floor when you walk away... ( it has happened to Kent... :-) ).
If you own a Mercedes with the M116 V8 engine (expect 1980 to 1982 380 engines with single low chains) timing chain failure can really ruin your day! If the engine it turning at high speed when this happens, it can destroy the engine.
If you own a Mercedes with the M117 V8 engine timing chain failure can really ruin your day! If the engine it turning at high speed when this happens, it can destroy the engine. If it happens at low speed, you may get away with removing the heads and replacing some bent valves.
Learn all the tricks to adjusting the valves on your older Mercedes V8 engine.
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a complete instructional video on how to install a new timing chain in a 1970 to 1991 M116 or M117 Mercedes V8 engine. Rather it is a collection of "tips" to help you prevent running into trouble when doing this job yourself.
In this video, Kent will walk you through some initial steps you can take to try to solve a rough running problem on an early Mercedes V8 engine with D-Jetronic fuel injection. Please note that this is an introductory troubleshooting video. It does not contain any actual repair information.

This is a must-have if you have a prized Benz or any car you don't drive often!! If you let any of your cars sit for long periods ( generally over 30 days) without driving them, you can ruin your battery, especially if you let it go completely dead.
New O.E. cap as shown. Alert: These are almost out of production.
Exceptionally nice set of high-performance spark wires as shown. These should be replaced approximately every 80,000 miles for peak performance.
If you are a 1969 to 1991 V8 you should have some extras of these on hand. They are inexpensive and should be replaced anytime you remove your valve covers. The gaskets will keep a good seal longer than the bolt washers.
