Are you replacing the rear struts in your ABC SL500? Are you planning to do a coil-over conversion? If so, this kit will save you a ton of time and frustration by allowing you to remove and replace the struts/shocks without spending a couple of hours removing all the trunk carpets to get to the nuts that hold them in place. This will also allow you easy access to make adjustments to adjustable replacement shocks. Watch the video below for a full explanation of how this works:
Product Details
The kit contains the following:
- A pattern to locate the hole you will need to cut ( you will have to cut out this pattern first from a sheet of card stock).
- Two thin plastic silver-grey covers with the Mercedessource logo printed ( not an exact color match to your grey carpet)
- Velcro to help hold the covers over the holes.
- Very sharp cutting pliers to cut the holes in the carpet ( tough material)

Here are some things to keep in mind. Due to the waviness of the truck carpet, the round covers will NOT fix flush. The velcro does not stick firmly to the fussy carpet, but it will hold the covers in place. You can paint the plastic covers with plastic paint if you so choose, either to match the grey carpet or to have them be a different color altogether.
