If you have worked on 5-cylinder 617 turbo diesel cylinder heads before you already know how important it is to have the correct socket for the "triple square" cylinder head bolts. This socket is a must to properly remove and re-torque those bolts. Works on all OM617 turbo diesel engines from 1978 to 1985. 1/2 inch drive head.

DO NOT USE THIS TOOL WITH AN AIR IMPACT WRENCH. You will need a long 1/2 inch breaker bar to remove the bolts without damaging this tool or the bolt. Once they have been loosened with the breaker bar you can then you and electric or air wratched to speed them out. You will need a long 1/2 drive torque wrench to properly install the head bolts.
