W108 W114 W115 W116 W123 Special Side Window Bottom Trim Removal Tool Set

This is the only way to remove this anodized lower side window trim without bending or damaging it.

PLEASE NOTE: The product has changed slightly since the videos were made. August 2026 update. The pry piece is no longer a screwdriver handle. It is now a padded, rubberized tube (see picture below). This can be one of the hardest trim pieces to remove without damaging the car's paint or the aluminum trim itself. While detailing his 300TD wagon, Kent finally decided it was time to make a special tool for the job. If you want to replace the side window rubber scrapers, you will have to remove the trim.

Current product. If you need additional height for prying, just put a small chuck of rubber under the tubing.

Here is a closeup showing the tip of the tool "grabbing" the underside of the metal clip that holds the trim to the door with the former handle block.

You will note that the door panel has to be removed. This procedure is NOT covered in the instructions that come with this tool. If you are not familiar with removing a W123 door panel you can purchase Kent's PDF instructions below.
