It seems that I have a leaking fuel injector on my '84 W123; there is diesel fuel in a damp puddle all around this one injector after driving @ highway speeds. Is it possible (for me)to remove & correct this? If so, do I need to buy a whole new injector now? Thank you, Kieran-

Thanks for the comment on the return lines; I actually just replaced the already recently replaced set & I can confirm it is not the (typically leaking) return lines. But I will triple check again! Thanks, Kieran-

Repairing a leaking diesel injector

Your injector may be leaking at the all metal seal between the two halves. My new manual Diesel Injector Cleaning and Testing Procedures will explain how to take the injector apart, inspect, clean and reseat it. You may want to consider replacing the nozzles in all the injectors at the same time for increased performance and better mileage. To read more about my manuals and injector kits CLICK HERE.
