n/a Passenger side shoulder strap retractor does not work. Can it be fixed?If so, how is removal of trim piece to access components accomplished? The belt has been completely extended and will not return. Does it work with some sort of spring device?

Not repairable
From my experience they are not repairable. Since they are a safety issue of the highest order I recommend you find a good used one and install it The panel comes off by first removing the two screws in the hard plastic foot at the bottom of the post panel. Then pull the panel downward to release from the top.
