W123 glove box door challenges

The most common problem is the door will not latch properly or stay closed. I have developed a clever procedure that fixes this annoying problem once and for all. It will require drilling and reinforcing the inside plastic door panel. Included with the manual are the correct drill bit and hardware, and complete, detailed instructions to make that modification yourself. Your door will stay closed once again! PLEASE NOTE: Repairing the closing latch is possible only if the plastic post has not been broken completely off on the inside of the plastic panel. If the post has been broken off, this part of the kit will NOT WORK. You would have to find a replacement used glove box door or a good inner panel.

And this is what the custom nuts look like installed. The washer is big enough to cover the hole that has worn big in the plastic, and they "suck" down the plastic tight to the front of the glove box door so the hinge stays tight, the door alignment does not shift, and the panel rattle is eliminated.

The included custom tip screwdriver will allow you to easily remove the original round nuts and install and tight the new hardware after adjusting the door closing gaps.

Tired of trying to get your bent dash wood to stick to the dash? Have you tried to glue it or use tape only to have it loosen or fall off again? This new kit Kent put together will solve the loose dash wood problem once and for all. You will get a video on how to reglue the wood with the glue included in this kit, as well as how to take the glove box door apart so you can remove the front piece of wood. Kent's video will show you some tricks on how to get severely-bent wood to stick to the flat dash.
