In this 14 minute instructional video, Kent will show you how to safely remove the side window lower trim without damaging the car's paint or the soft aluminum trim. He will do this using his special tool to do this job. He will also show you how to install the trim back on without bending it.
This can be one of the hardest trim pieces to remove if you don't want to damage the car's paint or the aluminum trim itself. When working on detailing his 300TD wagon, Kent finally decided it was time to make a special tool for this operation.
Cad plating can be expensive but is great for show restorations. If you just want to make those parts on your old Benz look good then this is the closest paint Kent has found to looking like cadmium gold plating. Check out the pictures below of the fuel delivery brackets he did with this paint.

This is an above-average used bumper, as shown. It's not perfect. Study the pictures carefully. Chrome is clean and bright, and there is no major corrosion on the front or back, where you usually find severe aluminum corrosion.
Hard to believe we took so long to come up with this tool. It was Gerson's genius that made it happen. The secret turned out to be the hook that keeps the tool in place while stretching out the rubber donut. Wow! What a cool tool.
This one is a very nice passenger side front side rubber mounting bracket. Not rusty like most you see. The threaded mounting stud is fully in place and has not been broken off by rust. We include the special aluminum mounting spacer and nut for the back side. You will be happy with this one.
This was a good working unit before taken apart. All the internal parts are very usable. This will give you some repair spares for the future.
Kent jokingly mentions this has become a late W123 epidemic! You see this problem happening on all late model 240D, 300D, 300CD, and 300TD wagons.

DO NOT neglect your W123 hood hinge and firewall corner drains. The problems plugged drains can create arre many and the 123 sedans, coupes and wagons are more prone to front plugged water drains than any other model.

Removing the tilting sunroof panel is a little bit of a mystery to many owners. Since there are no exposed fasteners, at first glance it can appear to be very difficult to remove.
Over half the W123's Kent looks at today have their original battery hold down clamps missing. Most just seem to rust away. Kent decided he had to come up with a solution by providing a replacement clamp and nut that would not rust!
Indications that your seal needs replacing are tears in the lip and no resistance when you close your trunk. If you trunk snaps shut too easily it means the seal has collapsed and is no longer sealing properly.
If a car has sat outside in the elements for long periods and has not been washed or waxed in months there are some things you need to do BEFORE you apply the buffer to the body and the final wax to the paint. This is where you will need some real "elbow grease."

Grommets push into the holes in the trunk to hold the emblems for the right and left side as applicable. A must have if you plan to repaint your car. Video on how to remove your emblems without damaging them is included free. These will work on the following models.

Only one available as shown. This is a good working latch but it does have one problem. I have seen these get so badly rusted and corroded that they are impossible to repair. Not the problem with this one. Very clean and no rust.

Genuine Mercedes part. There are 4 clips that hold each of the two intake air grills (below wiper blades) to the bottom. If you are planning to remove them I recommend having new clips on hand. You need a total of 8 per car.

SOLD IN PACK OF FOUR. These clips attach your lower mouldings at the bottom of the doors and bottom of front fenders. Rocker panel moulding retainer. Plan to have some spares on hand if you are removing the mouldings for car repaint or repair.
If your window washer pump is running and the squirter nozzles are not working properly, you may need replace them with new VDO / Siemens parts. There is nothing like seeing where you are going! Sold individually.
I like the convenience of using the factory jack points (holes) but I absolutely DO NOT like using the factory jack - except in cases of emergency road side repair. You all know it can be a little unstable... I solved this problem by using a large heavy duty bolt.

Fits all 123 240D 300D 300CD 300TD 280E 280CE 1977 to 1985. This is a good used rear bumper rubber. There are no gouges or tears, only some slight scratches in places. The rubber trim piece that goes over the bumper shock mounts is in very good used condition.
