For actual installation, these are four of Kent's popular kits for converting the ABC suspension in your early SL500 to convention coil-over shocks. 2000 to 2006 ABC Rear Control Arm Removal Custom Tool Set
Anytime you need to replace your rear shocks/struts, you must drop the rear control arm. If you are doing other rear suspension work, you may need to drop it as well. Kent came up with this tool kit when he was converting his SL500 to conventional coil-over shock absorbers.
1999 to 2006 ABC Rear Control Arm Outer Bushing Replacement Kit
I call this the hidden and forgotten bushing. Why? Because you can not see it to inspect it, it hardly ever gets changed. When these bushings wear out you will feel "weird" movement in your rear end, especially going over rough ground.
