Kent's Super Rare 1959 220SE For Sale

Only 1400 220SE sedans were made. Kent is the second owner ( past 25 years ) of this beautiful preservation example Ponton.

Kent purchased it from the original owner in Seattle in 1990, this beauty spent its entire life in the Pacific Northwest and is a rust-free preservation example of a very rare fuel-injected Mercedes. It has NOT been restored but has been well maintained.  It has 135,000 miles on it, and it is pretty much original except for one repaint of the original color back in the mid-1980s. The engine purrs, the 4-speed manual transmission (not Hydrak)shifts smoothly, and the car can keep up with modern traffic. Watch the video below as Kent will take you on a short road trip.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I will post a large number of pictures here, and they can speak for themselves.

The straight six-cylinder engine is unique, and most car buffs get very confused about what they are actually looking at —i.e., Where are the carburetors?

The interior color is also unique. It is in very good condition, considering it is all original and 65 years old.

But I have to admit, it is the exterior color combination that draws the most attention.  Have you ever seen a black or a cream Ponton?  Was it memorable? This two-tone blue is the best color combination you will ever see on an old, round-body Mercedes Benz!
