92 300CE oil pressure loss

Oil pressure is normal when engine is started and warming up. Afterward the pressure reads very low during idle and normal city driving. No tapping is heard which indicates to me that oil is still circulating. What if anything should I do?

What is the lowest it goes? How many RPMs before it pegs out at max?

92 300CE Oil Pressure loss

It goes down to zero during idle. It never max's out after warm up. At about 3000rpm it tops out at between 1 & 2. Some one suggested that it was my oil pressure switch.

Excessive bearing and oil pump wear

You could try hooking up a direct manual pressure gauge to confirm but I suspect with that mileage your engine is worn out. I recently sold my own very nice 1992 300CE with 150K for $4800. NIce Benz are out there for good prices right now. Just my humble opinion but I would bail on the car you have rather than putting any money into it.
