I am often asked why I keep model airplanes around my shop. I like looking at them but even more than that, they bring back some pretty good memories. Flying bush airplanes gave me the opportunity to see and experience some pretty unique things early in my life. And those memories have a huge impact on what I do today! In the most recent episode of "Saturday at Kent's Shop, " I share some of those memories (towards the end of the video).

I am working on the brakes of my 1980 W126 280SE and am seeing some problems that are very common in 30 plus-year-old cars. So I am working on a three-part video series that will cover how to spot and deal with them. Now back to memories. I think when one gets older one tends to look back at least as much or more often than one looks forward. That is another good reason to spend time creating positive lasting memories for yourself and those close to you. Good memories are the main reason I am building a log cabin in the woods for Linda. She followed me halfway around the world to live in the most primitive place on earth and never complained. :-) Spend some time in 2018 creating good memories...
