I have seen various postings re harsh rear ride on 300 te wagons frequently being caused by bad air cell accumulators, and that replacing both of these (about $100 per side) is likely the solution.
I see that you offer a kit for 123 series wagons that replaces the original factory system with regular shocks/new springs- any plans for a 124 wagon system? Secondly, I had a few individuals describe to me on another site the process involved in replacing the air cells, accessing them from the trunk area, under the forwardmost floor panel in the trunk area. These descriptions all talked about removing and replacing hydraulic lines and fittings, maybe having to chisel off old nuts, taking care not to bend and kink lines, etc. I can see the 2 air cells under the trunk floor panel I lifted up in the trunk area. I also have owned a citroen DS for several years which also has hydropneumatic suspension (5 spheres- one at each corner of car for suspension, and the 5th is a 'main accumulator') Changing the spheres on a Citroen is simply unscrewing them like a light bulb, replacing a rubber 'o' ring under the sphere with a new one, and then screwing a new sphere on 'hand tight'- the only other procedure involved is to loosen a bleed screw to release pressure in the system so they come off easier. On my 300 te- does anyone know if the same simple process to unscrew the old spheres and screw new ones back on is applicable , or is this just wishful thinking on my part, and I really will have to get under the car for hours, or pay the dealer the $450 labor only they want for the job. My understanding is that Mercedes licensed the hydropneumatic/self leveling thing from citroen anyway. Thanks!!
