Hi there. First i want to thank everyone at MercedesSource for all the help to us. Thank you. I lump these two symptoms together because they seem to possibly be related. First, is the regular occurrance of hard starting only when the engine is still warm. My engine starts great when completely cold, i never have to crank more than a second. But most often when i return to my car after it has sat for up to 2 hours and is still warm , i have to crank three times usually, and sometimes 4 or 5. And then, sometimes there is a real loss of power that accompanies the car after i am started. The power loss feels the same as a clogged filter, or air in the system. I am driving mainly on WVO with a small (10%)blend. However, even times when i am on full diesel the same thing can happen. Oh yeah, i am currently running a STC 100 with the FM100 filter. Every other time i have requested help on this forum i have received helpful advise and 'right on' diagnosis. I am hoping for the same now, as this is a real problem. THANKS KENT! p.s. One more thing. Is it possible for a filter to be clogged and then become unclogged? I ask this because of the sporadic power loss. It is as if a filter is clogged, and then if i stop and restart the fuel repositions around the filter and starts flowing freely and i have full power again.
