1985 300CD Low Compression #2 What Now????

Hi - When changing Injectors, I found low compression in the #2 Cylinders (160). All the others were ok (360 - 380). Is there anything I should do now, to prevent immediate complete failure? What should I expect in the near and far future, besides increasing loss of power? Thanks - John

Double check

That is pretty low compression. Did you double check your valve adjustments on that cylinder. If so there is not much you can do but drive it or rebuild it. Keep an eye on oil consumption and unusual engine noises. If have seen some of these engines go lots of miles on low compression. As long as it starts and has good oil pressure keep on truckin....

Double Check - Yes

We did Double and Triple Check the valve adjustment. I didn't mention I use WVO as fuel. I think I will run some Dino Diesel for a couple of tanks, then recheck. Besides that, I figured, Drive till she Dies, then put in a new engine. Thanks
