1984 300D Turbo engine shutoff

I replaced the engine shut off vacuum actuator, the car drove for 15 minutes and stalled. I am not getting fuel to the injectors. The question is can the actuator gaskets leak air into the pump and air lock it?

This may help. My 84 2.2 sat for six months with a similar situation. It started with leaking at the #1 injector line. Bought parts and installed without removing manifold. While there took out the vacuum motor for engine shutoff for testing. OK and replaced. Engine started hard after and removed and replace seals again. then would not start at all. Multiple attempts later still no start. Went back through procedures and removed manifold for second time. When I removed engine stop vacuum motor it cam out hard and looked in the black hole with a flashlight and connection was disconnected. Lessen - The vacuum motor is set into an O ring and not a slot. The motor has to be set in slightly to the left and rotated into position so the slot engages the catch-nub and tightened carefully and evenly.

At the same time I reamed the glow-plug holes with Ken's tool. Two holes needed work. Turned on the key, let the glow plugs warm up and the engine started immediately- better than the good starter it was. Have 1000 miles on it now and no issues.
