This 30-minute instruction video covers the following:
- Discussion of common problems with old sunroofs
- Headliner panel removal
- Removal of all fasteners under the panel
- Removal of the panel from the car
- Inspection and cleaning of sunroof slides and felt feet.
- The correct way to reinstall the panel and connect the fasteners
- Aligning the cable to accept the front pin clip
- Details on how adjustments are made
- Adjusting the front and rear panel height to be flush with the car's roof
- Reinstalling the headliner panel
PLEASE NOTE: This video does not cover the removal and repair of the sunroof motor drive and cable, the removal of the air dam, or the replacement of the sunroof seals. That information is covered in other videos in this series (see below)
If you can not move the sunroof, I recommend you purchase Kent's video on emergency sunroof headliner panel removal. That panel must be removed to get to the fasteners and release the cable, allowing you to reach up and move the roof by hand.
