Kent calls this his "flowglow" because it is a straight flow-through fuel heater that uses a glow plug to produce the heat. Since the glow plug is submerged in vegetable oil fuel, it is very efficient and will last a long time. WARNING: If you turn it on with no fuel in the heater and leave it on for a long period, you will burn out the glow plug. The unit must be firmly grounded to the car's chassis to complete the electrical circuit. Do not use rubber mounts. You must use the metal mounts supplied and make certain that what you are mounting it to has a good ground connection to the chassis.
Product Details
The unit draws approximately 12 to 15 amps, so it will need a separate relay with a battery connection to power it properly. We provide that in our STC100 SVO conversion kit. If you are buying this to use on your own system, you will need to supply the proper wiring components. DO NOT wire the glow plug through the snap disk thermostat. That will burn it out. Run the low amp power that will activate the relay through this small thermostat!
