Permanently Repairing the OM 616 and OM 617 Pesky Valve Cover Gasket Oil Leak - On Demand Video

Just installing a new gasket may not fix the leak as many owners have already learned

If you have a 1969 to 1985 4 or 5 cylinder diesel (except the 1984-85 190D) you may have already noticed it is hard to get the valve cover totally sealed from weeping oil stains coming out the bottom or top of the valve cover gasket. You are not alone and just replacing the gasket will not solve the problem!

But, the problem is explained in detail and a valve cover already removed from the engine is used to show the hand tool and procedure required. This is an easy D.I.Y. fix.
