One of the reasons for unsuspected failure is you can not see the damage before it is too late. It will be hidden by the rubber bushings connecting the sway bar to the upper control arm. Moisture gets trapped here, + you add salt, and the area is ripe for corrosion. If it breaks off or you find it is severely rusted, you have two options. Replacing the front sway bar takes about 20 hours - or you can repair the end with this kit.
