On some Mercedes models from the late 1980s to the mid 1990's a coolant coil heater is used to heat the window washer fluid in the tank. This will keep the fluid from freezing, but time and age has shown the heater can lead to problems if it starts leaking. In this video Kent explains where the leaks occur and what can be done to fix the problem. This applies to 126, 124, 140 and 129 chassis that are equipped with window washer tank heaters.
