'77 240D Ran out of fuel, now won't start.

I have a 1977 240D. My wife was driving and ran it out of fuel. I have added fuel but, it won't start. Any tips on how to get it running again?

You need to prime it, on the driver's side of the car is the fuel injection pump and attached to that is the priming pump, unthread it (looks like a white plactic cap about and inch and a half across), pump until you build some pressure, stop it if weeps from the pump seal and you're good to go

Make sure she doesn't run it out again, it's very very bad for the injection pump because fuel is its only form of lubrication and a new pump is not something you want to buy!
