1987 300DT, Brake Dust Covers

What are the pros and cons of using "Kleen Wheels" brake dust covers to minimize the accumulation of brake dust on the exterior of wheels? Do the dust covers significantly, dangerously, reduce the cooling air flow to the brakes?

Yeah, I have them on a 1984 300D. My wheels always looked like crap till I put Kleen wheels on. The newly painted rims can be seen now. Don't know if there is anything adverse happening to my brakes, but there doesn't seem to be. Happy motoring.

Depends on driving habits.

Heat related problems with dust shields are over-rated unless you are racing the car or live on top a mountain and have to do a lot of braking on a regular basis. They work just fine during normal driving. :-)
