85 300dt KEYED 12volt?

Hi,
I'm installing the glow plug override kit on my 85 300dt. Wondering a good source of keyed power for the switch is? I'm almost thinking it'd just be easier to use a direct battery lead to avoid hacking away my harnesses, but if you know of an easy one I'd sure use it!

For keyed power I prefer to run a wire into the fusebox under the lid. Tap an indent in the metal under the lower edge of the fuse box lid so the lid does not pinch the wire when closed. Get a clip and attach the wire to the hot or 12V in power side of the wiper fuse. If you want it fused I like to use a separate fuse holder on the outside of the factory fuse box (purchase at any auto parts store) for the new circuit I am creating to prevent blowing the factory wiper fuse. You really don't really need keyed power for the button control to the solenoid. As an alternative, just run the small wire from the hot side of the solenoid into the inside of the car to the button.

I got to thinking about whether or not it needed to be keyed and decided I'd like it to be, so I ran a wire off of the radio circuit. By the way, very nice kit! I hadn't run my car in over a week and it started up with about 30 seconds of cranking and 30 seconds of glow plugs in 4 degree weather. I would've been hopeless after 12 hours before your setup!
